Hi, I'm Dayna!
A New York based songwriter, producer, and professional musician. With nearly a decade of teaching under my belt, and over 23 years of playing and studying music behind me, I’ve acquired quite a bit of knowledge along the way. Beginning my musical journey in classical music at age 7, I transitioned into the world of popular music upon training in the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College, where I studied under Grammy award winning musicians and producers. My experience in both classical and popular music gives me the unique advantage of being able to coach students in both arenas.
Lessons together will be fun and effective, and focus on building you a solid musical foundation that you will be able to rely on for years to come! You’ll build confidence in your playing, performance skills, and technique, and hone the practice habits it takes to master any piece of music.

Well-Rounded Curriculum
Many of my students come to me with "gaps" in their learning. They feel like they’ve learned bits and pieces along their musical journey, but struggle to piece it all together. That’s why I take a ground up approach, to make sure we’re covering ALL of the bases.
A Holistic Approach
Everything can effect the way we play music. Whether it’s our technique, mood, mindset, posture, or too much overall tension held in the body, we explore the ways in which unconscious habits could be holding us back in our musical practice in order to overcome them together.
Tailored Lessons
No two students are the same, and therefore no two students will learn the same! I work WITH my students to identify the ways in which they learn best, and tailor our lessons accordingly to make sure they’re getting the most out of our time together.
Engaging Repertoire
Learning music simply isn’t fun if you aren’t engaged with what you’re playing. I aim to make music lessons fun and exciting, by hand-selecting repertoire that both lights my students up, and challenges them to be the very best musicians they can be.
